75 MW Solar Thermal Power Plant
Florida Power & Light
Indiantown, FL

(Completed under Parent Lauren Engineers & Constructors, Inc.)

FPLEngineering, Procurement and Construction contract for a 75 MW Concentrated Solar Power Plant located near Indiantown, Florida. At project completion, this landmark solar project achieved several milestones for solar power: the first hybrid solar facility in the world to connect to an existing combined-cycle power plant and the largest solar thermal plant in the eastern United States;. This plant, named FPL's Martin Next Generation Solar Energy Center, is located on 500 acres of land adjacent to FPL's Martin Power Plant. The solar energy center was Commissioned in November 2010 and Commercial Operation was achieved in December 2010.

72 MW Solar Thermal Power Generating Facility
Solargenix Energy
Boulder City, NV

(Completed under Parent Lauren Engineers & Constructors, Inc.)

NSOEngineering, Procurement and Construction contract to build a 72 MW power generating facility in Boulder City, Nevada. At project completion, Nevada Solar One was the largest-capacity solar thermal plant to be built in 17 years and the third-largest in the world. The plant consists of a Power Block area and a 400-acre field of mirror arrays that focus the heat of the desert sun into a heat transfer fluid system. Nevada Solar One was completed during the third quarter of 2007.

EPC Project – 225 MW Combined Cycle
Black Hills Corporation
Las Vegas, Nevada

(Completed under Parent Lauren Engineers & Constructors, Inc.)

NSOThe contract included engineering, procurement, and construction of an additional 225MW of generation capacity to Black Hills’ Las Vegas Cogeneration II Power Plant. Scope of work included four LM 6000 gas turbine generators in combined cycle, two 28 MW steam turbine generators, four once-thru heat recovery steam generators, gas turbine inlet chilling systems and all required balance of plant equipment.

Ethylene Furnace Erection
Linde Engineering North America
Port Arthur, Texas

(Completed under Parent Lauren Engineers & Constructors, Inc.)

LaurenSaxon, a joint venture between Lauren and Saxon Construction, is providing construction, procurement, and project management services for the erection of a new Ethylene Furnace. Scope includes steel erection, equipment installation, refractory installation, piping, electrical and instrumentation.

Modular Pipe Racks and Process Skids
International Alliance Group
Ft. Stockton, TX

(Completed under Parent Lauren Engineers & Constructors, Inc.)

NSOLauren has executed four contracts for the fabrication of modular pipe rack assemblies and process skids for the Selexol & CO2 Fractionation Plant in Fort Stockton, Texas. As part of this work, Lauren built and assembled 24 pipe rack modules (900’ in total length), with over 17,000 linear feet of pipe and an estimated 638 tons of structural steel. All modules were first staged at the Lauren Fabrication Facility in Abilene, Texas. Each module, up to 16’x16’x90’ and 100 tons, were then disassembled and delivered for final assembly at the Fort Stockton project site.
